Summer 2019 is upon us! Opportunities abound as the churches of Northeast Louisiana and Morehouse associations gear up for this

adventuresome time of Vacation Bible Schools, mission trips, summer camps, and a host of other events and activities. Please keep your Associational Center informed of the exciting ways God moves in and through your congregation. We are anxious to hear and want to rejoice with you in the work God is doing in these times of incredible opportunity. If we can assist in any way, please contact us. One of Southern Baptists’ major events occurs in June each year. It is the time set aside to celebrate what it means to be a Southern Baptist. Our annual Southern Baptist Convention will be held in Birmingham, Alabama on June 11 – 12. The theme for this year is GOSPEL: Above All taken from 1 Corinthians 15:3 – 4. The convention provides occasion to hear reports of our cooperative work plus innovative ways to reach our world that is lost without Jesus. Updated information on the current strategies of the SBC entities will be presented and messengers will be given the opportunity to hear some powerful preaching from convention leaders. The Southern Baptist Convention also provides a time to enjoy fellowship with missions partners from around the globe. It is my hope that many of our churches will provide for their pastors and leaders to attend and participate. As we all share in the vast array of summer activities let me say again, thank you so much for your faithful support of associational missions. Remember, we can accomplish much more for the Kingdom of God as we network our resources and build lasting relationships among our congregations. Wishing you a refreshing and fruitful summer!
