THERE ARE VARIOUS KIND OF ‘INDEPENDENCE – STARTER PACK’. MOST OF THE STARTER STARTS FROM HIGHER EDUCATION.

HOWEVER, MANY STUDENTS ARE NOT ADEQUATELY PREPARED TO HANDLE THEIR OWN FINANCES. ONE OF THE LEADING REASONS THAT STUDENTS DROP OUT OF STUDY IS BECAUSE OF FINANCIAL PROBLEMS – OFTEN DUE TO POOR PERSONAL MONEY MANAGEMENT.

Money is very important to people from all walks of life as it helps us carry on our daily lives. People today are facing financial problem especially students as they are not working or earning money on their own and their income is mostly depending on their parents, loan or scholarship. This issue is experienced by us and the other students in Ungku Omar Polytechnic.

To suggest ways to overcome the problem.

It can be clearly seen that respondents who use RM50 to RM100 in a week recorded more than half of the respondents.

While for respondent that spent less than RM50 has the least number.

Almost a half of the respondents rely on PTPTN loan since most of the respondents apply PTPTN loan.

While respondents who choose others has the least number compared to the other three categories.

It can be seen that the survey recorded that most of the respondents disagree on the statement 'You spent most of your money on your studies'.

As we can see in the pie chart, respondents who have RM300 to RM400 for their income in a month recorded slightly more than a one-third.

While for respondents who have less than RM100 for their income in a month recorded the least which is 8%.

It can be concluded that 38% of the respondents doesn't have any saving in a month.

While 12% of the respondents save more than RM75.

While for transportation and education, there is a slightly difference of 0.18% between both category

CONCLUSION

People are often overwhelmed by their finances and have difficulty saving money.

You are not alone.

It may take some changes to your lifestyle and spending habits

The temporary thrill that you get from spending money can't come close to the satisfaction and sense of accomplishment that you'll feel when you look at your bank account and see all the money you've been able to save.
