TITAN FIRE EXTINGUISHERSThe TITAN Kitemarked fire extinguisher range comprises of a wide selection of carbon dioxide, foam, water and powder fire extinguishers offering impressive fire ratings, as well as excellent value for money without compromising on quality. All fire extinguishers are BS EN3 Kitemarked (excluding the 1ltr AFFF) and CE Marked. For even greater value, we now also offer the TITAN Economy fire extinguisher range.

WATERWater fire extinguishers are ideal for extinguishing Class A fires. The TITAN 6ltr and 9ltr water fire extinguishers can be used in a range of applications including offices and warehouses and the extinguishant is just pure water making the fire extinguishers environmentally friendly and quick and simple to discharge test.

POWDERPowder fire extinguishers are excellent multi-purpose fire extinguishers offering protection against class ABC fires. The comprehensive TITAN range presents a range of extinguisher sizes including 1kg, 2kg, 3kg, 4kg, 6kg, 9kg and 12kg making the range ideal for use in a range of applications including vehicles. The 2kg and 3kg models can be supplied complete with optional transport brackets (request at time of ordering).

Milieukeur Environmental CertificationWHy TITAN FOAM EXTINGUISHERS? There is growing concern about the negative environmental impacts of foam fire extinguishers as well as increasingly stringent regulations over the disposal of foam but the TITAN range of foam fire extinguishers comply with the environmental Milieukeur Standard. Some carbon dioxide models also offer the Milieukeur.

The TITAN foam fire extinguishers are also BS EN 3 Kitemarked, CE Approved and have passed the electrical conductivity test meaning that they are safe for inadvertent use on live electrical equipment up to 1,000 volts at a distance of 1 metre.

WHAT IS MILIEUKEUR? At the present time, there is no environmental standard against which foam fire extinguishers can be measured in the UK. However, in Holland, the Dutch have developed the Stichting Milieukeur Standard.

The Milieukeur certification schemes are designed and administrated by the Dutch SMK (Stichting Milieukeur) and certification is carried out by independent certification bodies. Milieukeur certification schemes are accepted by the Dutch Accreditation Council (RvA). At the present time only carbon dioxide, foam and water with additive fire extinguishers can be considered for inclusion in the scheme.

ENVIRONMENTALLy FRIENDLy FIRE FIGHTING FOAMS? No company has yet developed a foam fire fighting solution that is truly environmentally friendly as all foams contain ingredients that may have potentially negative environmental impacts. However, the active foam agents used in the TITAN foam fire extinguishers are readily biodegradable meaning that they will biodegrade when they come into contact with the ground and they will not cause long term negative environmental impacts. They are therefore less harmful to the environment than standard fire fighting foams.

HOW DO FIRE EXTINGUISHERS COMPLy WITH MILIEUKEUR ? The fire extinguishers are tested against a strict list of environmental criteria, namely:

> The halogenated hydrocarbons in the fluorosurfactants must not be volatile > Portable fire extinguishers up to 20kg shall comply with EN 3. > Extinguishing solutions and agents shall comply with EN 1568. > Zinc is not an (intended) element of the product. Possible zinc pollution does not exceed the maximum value of 0,2ppm. > Every organic premix ingredient present at more than 0.1% must have an aquatic toxicity better than 10mg/l

> The fire extinguishers should still be discharge tested in accordance with the requirements of BS 5306.

The fire extinguishers shall not be classified as:

> Caustic/corrosive (C) > Toxic (T) > Very toxic (T+) > Harmful (Xn)•

WET CHEMICALWith high fire ratings for Class A, B and F fires, TITAN wet chemical fire extinguishers are a must for any fire risk involving cooking oil or deep fat fryer fires. Available in 2ltr, 3ltr and 6ltr models, the extinguishers are also safe for inadvertent use on live electrical equipment up to 1000v at a distance of 1 metre.

TITAN PLUS Special Risk Fire ExtinguishersOur special risk fire extinguishers offer a range of fire extinguishers designed to combat high risk fires. The M28 metal fire extinguisher combats a range of general metal fires including magnesium, aluminium, potassium, sodium, and calcium which are found in many commercial and industrial settings. The Lithium (L2) fire extinguisher will combat general metals fires and it is the only fire extinguisher that will combat Lithium fires. The Monnex powder extinguisher is a highly powerful powder extinguisher that will fight Class B and C fires (not metal fires) and is ideal for use against flammable liquid and flammable gas fires having an explosive risk. The TITAN Monnex Powder extinguisher is offered in a 9kg cylinder and is filled with 8kg Monnex Powder.

TITAN AUTOMATIC EASyFIRE WALL MOUNTED UNIT EXINGUISHERSThe Easyfire automatic fire extinguishing system has been specifically designed for use aboard boats and marine craft in engine rooms. The units are filled with the clean agent gas HFC 227 that has no negative environmental impacts and will not harm electrical or computer equipment. The units are self activating once a temperature of 93°C is reached and additional equipment is also available meaning that the units can be activated manually, for example, from outside of the engine room.
