Want to attract beautiful butterflies to your garden? Plant the flowers and plants that they need for food!

Keep in mind: Butterflies lay eggs that hatch into pupae which develop into hungry caterpillars that need to eat leaves to grow into adult butterflies. To support the next generation of healthy butterflies: tolerate some plant damage (often the plants will grow back!) and avoid using pesticides. These can

kill juvenile and adult butterflies, as well as other beneficial insects, and wash into our creeks and lakes when it rains.
