Mohonk Mountain House is an enchanting Victorian castle with 2200 acres of scenic wilderness. It sprawls along the Shawangunk Ridge along the northwestern corner of Lake Mohonk, "Lake in the Sky”. It locates in the town of New Paltz , NY just beyond the southern border of the Catskill Mountains on the western side of the Hudson River.

This place is so nice that CAMS choose to come here three years in a row, although it is 2 hours drive from New York city

Even the leave is wonderful under the sun

Of course, you can’t miss the male sun fish, each guarding the impeccable clean round 2’ diameter mansion, full of pebbles and free of debris. He waits patiently for the right female to come, so he can raise their babies here under his watchful eyes. What a father!!!

I love that zigzag path leading to that vintage Pavilion where lover can whisper and watch the time boats passing by

( not that romantic when I turn it up)

Every one is busy feeling the magic of the lake

Parents watch and re-live their dreams and beauty of far away lands

One can take a picture of the photographer who is aiming at another photographer trying to capture the perfect happiest momentAnd may be there is a fourth one above me

I don’t know if you kept note of a lazy dozing grass snake

Or the surfing turtle

and above all, the chirps and tweets of the happy birds surrounding us

In Rip von Winkle’s land, don’t doze off while you read Otherwise when you are ready to leave it will be years pass in City (this part, I make it up )

One of the CAMS ‘s future is here !!

Last year I saw this outside the lunch hall, the rain was pouring. Different climate, Mohonk is enchanting nonetheless….

I wonder what I will see the fourth times around next year.For sure, I will take notes on the water, looking at the cloud…..
