Detailed design (according to LEED requirements-5 registrations) and tender documents for one main university campus in Riyadh, and two university branches in Jeddah and Hasa in addition to the design review and approval of Madinah university branch. Each of the four sites comprises world class educational, support and administrative buildings dedicated to health sciences in addition to a total of 2,043 dwelling units consisting of villas, townhouses, apartments and suites, and all required service, praying, infrastructure, recreational and sports facilities. Total built-up area: 1,250,000 m². Riyadh campus includes a Central Colleges Complex housing the colleges of medicine, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, applied medical sciences, and the deanships of higher studies and continuing education; the Clinical Skills Development Centre; King Abdullah Biomedical Research Centre; King Abdullah Specialty Children’s Hospital (542 beds for paediatric and adult functions); and a main mosque for over 1,000 worshipers. Detailed design, tender documents and supervision of construction for a“LEED-certified” high quality landmark housing mixed-use, residential, retail, office and parkingfacilities. A podium occupies the full allocated site and consists of 2 basement floors forcar-parking and 2 upper floors for retail services. The top of the podium is a landscaped roofwith a water pool. Above the podium, 3 separate buildings are developed namely, 2 residentialtowers of 35 storeys and 25 storeys with respective built-up areas of 57,250 m² and40,950 m², and a 9-storey office building (ESKAN Bank Headquarters) with a gross built-uparea of 13,600 m². The project also comprises 34 townhouses edging the west side of the sitewith a total built-up area of 6,800 m².

Abraj Al Bait Hills, Saudi Arabia. Design and tender documents for a large mixed-usedevelopment with a built-up area of 2,832,150 m² on a site area of 91,325 m² adjacent to theDevelopment of King Abdul Aziz Endowment for the Two Holy Mosques in Makkah, consistingof 19 high-rise towers with 27, 35, 45, 53 and 63 typical floors each, divided into 5-star, 4-starand 3-star hotels accommodating a total of 26,400 hotel rooms. The towers are resting on apodium that is divided into 2 zones namely, the 11-storey south zone and the 20-storey northzone, accommodating electromechanical areas, car-parks, bus stations, hotel services andretail areas. Works also include all infrastructure utility networks, traffic analysis for the sitearea, electromechanical and ventilation systems for the bus stations and car-parks, and sitelandscaping.

Masa'a Extension at Makkah Haram, Saudi Arabia. Design and supervision of construction fora 40-m wide, 3-storey building comprising a basement level with a total built-up area of100,000 m², accommodating a total number of 118,000 persons/hour to perform the Sae’yritual in addition to a total of 100,000 persons for praying. Phase 1 includes a new extension tothe existing Masa’a towards the eastern piazza with a width of 20 m, to be used for Sae’yduring the construction of the second phase of the project. Phase 2 includes the demolition ofthe existing Masa’a and the first adjacent bay from the Haram, and execution of phase 2extension for Safa and Marwa areas with a new 100-m high minaret.

Involved in thearchitectural design and coordination of design documents with other engineering disciplines for awide range of projects in the Middle East and the Arab Gulf region, including hotels in Makkah,Madinah and Dammam (Saudi Arabia); 4-star and 5-star hotels and tourist resorts in Egypt andLibya; healthcare facilities in Egypt; and a large number of private villas in Egypt.

Also, involved in several urban planning and urban design projects in Libya.
