MODUS Coach is a completely new coach hatch, where timelessdesign, easy and fast mounting as well as maintenance freedomplay an important role. As a member of the new MODUS family,also the Coach version is based on the new injection molded outerframe. The hatch is easy and quick to mount by bonding. It has beendesigned for buses, school buses, coaches, minibuses, and commercialvehicles demanding an economical but durable and more integrateddesign hatch with good ventilation characteristics, still notcompromising safety.

The Modus Coach hatch is a new creation where several features have been combined.Elegant timeless design, robust maintenance free manual mechanisms, easy andfast mounting are just some of the key characteristics of this hatch.

An injection molded frame is the heart and soul of the hatch. Quick and precisefitting by bonding ensures a life time water proof functionality for the dome andthe emergency exit handles. An extra wide mounting collar with plenty of tolerance(width -12 to +20 mm and lenght -20 to +20 mm) allows easy mounting in a cut-offsize of 530 x 970.

This ECE approved emergency hatch is light in weight with a total mass of only9,6 kg. Thanks to the dual wall structure dome the unit has excellent heat and coldisolation.

With its classic and neutral design, MODUS Coach perfectly fits into any bus interiorhence making a stylish integrated impression without sticking out. The interior ofthe hatch comes in either light grey (RAL 7042) or in dark grey (RAL 7011). The dometop in white dual layer has an excellent UV protection.

The MODUS Coach can be mounted in a vehicle with a roof outer radius anywherebetween 6000 mm to flat as default and with a roof thickness of 40 mm up to 100mm depending on the operation handle. When placing an order, please rememberto state the roof inner (R1) and outer radius (R2) and thickness of the roof on thelong side (T). A DWG-file of the roof structure is preferred.

Modus Coach Comfort Series is the electric extension to the new ModusCoach hatch with timeless design giving the vehicle the final touch inboth looks and usage. The hatch is now electrically operated. The newhatch is extremely fast in opening/closing time. Modus Coach Comfortis also lighter than the previous electric hatches and much more robust.Modus Comfort Series hatches are controlled by the newly developedDigital Hatch Control system DHC.

There is an ever growing demand for electrically operated hatches. Coaches withelectric hatches add the final touch to the Climate Control giving the driver totalcontrol of the vehicle. More and more coaches and intercity buses are equipped withelectric hatches due to both comfort and control reasons.

The completely new electric mechanisms are extremely fast and robust. Openingor closing time is about 1 second. Due to new development the hatch is up to 10 %lighter in weight than the previous electric hatches. Modus Comfort series hatchesare operated with a Digital Hatch Control Unit, DHC.

Roof Hatch ventilation consumes considerably less energy than an A/C unit. WhenA/C is not necessarily needed, the driver can use the roof hatches for ventilation andsave energy. The driver can do it by a simple push of a button.

An electric hatch gives great comfort and control also to the driver. The driver canopen or close the hatches as he wants or the hatch control can even be integratedto the A/C system through Multiplex. In Multiplex integration the windshield wiperscan function as rain sensors and close the hatches automatically.

The hatches of today can be integrated as part of the total Climate Control Conceptworking together with the A/C unit to optimize the cooling power in the mostefficient way. Full Multiplex integration is easy to carry out with today's electrichatches due to their digital interface.
