PREFACE
Alhamdulillah, All praise and gratitude prayed to the presence of Allah SWT for his
blessing, guidance, and grace. Prayers and blessed greetings may attain the Prophet Muhammad
and his followers to the end of time.
Module of Medical-Surgical Nursing Skill Lab (Respiratory System, Cardiovascular
System, Hematologic System, and Perioperative System) was composed as a reference for
clinical activities of medical-surgical nursingskills (respiratory system, cardiovascular system,
hematologic system, and perioperative system), which is one of the series of lab/clinical
implementation to obtain an undergraduate nursing degree (S. Kep). This module is a
preparation material that assists lecturers or instructors to plan classes and clinical activities
with Semester Credit Hours of 2 credits. Furthermore, this module contains assessments to
evaluate student’s learning outcomes. This learning process includes lab/clinical activities of
medical-surgical nursingskills (respiratory system, cardiovascular system, hematologic system,
and perioperative system) that entail the signs and symptoms as well as the implementation of
nursing care as performed by nurse.
Despite the author’s effort to make it comprehensible, this textbook may have its
shortcomings. Therefore, feedbacks are welcomed to improve the quality of both nurse
candidates and nursing education and management. Finally, the author would like to express
gratitude for the support and assistance addressed toward the author for this work. Thank you.
