DESCRIPTION

This work came about after a lot of research on MOSS 2007 InfoPath forms integration and never really found a great article that was straight forward with step by step on how to set up InfoPath forms on a MOSS 2007 site. So I hope this HowTo will go along way to quickly and briskly enable you to start working with MS Office InfoPath Forms on MOSS 2k7.

24.0 Introduction The following Module demonstrates how to integrate an MS Office InfoPath Form with a MOSS 2k7 SharePoint Form Library, using a centralized template stored in a SharePoint document library. The form is set up to submit to a SharePoint form library This work came about after a lot of research on MOSS 2007 InfoPath forms integration and never really found a single article that was straight forward with step by step on how to set up InfoPath forms on a MOSS 2007 site. So I hope this Module HowTo will go along way to quickly and briskly enable you to start working with MS Office InfoPath Forms on MOSS 2k7. The following are the Step by Step Instructions for Setting up InfoPath forms on MOSS 2007:

1. Set up SharePoint libraries 2. Design the form template 3. Publish form template to SharePoint Form Library 4. Configure the form's primary data connection to submit to the SharePoint library 5. Setup Secondary Data Connections to receive or submit data to a SharePoint list

24.1 Step 1 – Create SharePoint Form Library First of all, to apply this article you have to create a Forms Library in your MOSS web application. Before that, you have to create a web application if you haven’t done so yet. In this case we’re going to My Portal Home. From MOSS central administration you will select Application Management > Create or extend Web application, and follow the steps. After you finish creating the web application you can create a document library as the following. If SharePoint Portal home isn’t already open, click Start > Administrative Tools > SharePoint Central Administration 3.0 > MyCompany Portal Home page, i.e., http://sharepoint.
