• Illness or other incapacity. Each unexcused absence will adversely affect the attendance/participation portion of your grade. Quizzes, homework, or other work not completed on time due to absence may be made up if the absence is excused. Make-ups must normally be taken on the first day that the student returns to class after the absence. If the absence is not excused, the student may submit the work for feedback, but will receive a grade of 0. Please do your best to arrive on time. Classes begin at 5 past the hour. Repeated lateness will adversely affect the attendance/participation portion of your grade. Academic honesty policy: Students are encouraged to study together, but all written work submitted for a grade (including quizzes and exams) must be the sole, unaided work of each student. Collaboration on such work will be considered plagiarism and cases will be referred to the Administrative Board of Harvard College. If you are in doubt as to whether collaboration is permitted on any given assignment, please ask your instructor first. Special accommodations: Any student requiring special accommodation should provide the instructor with a letter from the Accessible Education Office as soon as possible, so that we will have time to make the necessary arrangements. No accommodations can be made until the letter is received. All correspondence with the AEO will remain confidential.
