Presenter:  Mr.  Kenny  Yu  Kenny  is  a  registered  physiotherapist  in  Hong  Kong  with  more  than  10  years  clinical  experiences.  He  was  born  in  Hong  Kong  and  trained  in  Hong  Kong,  Australia  and  New  Zealand.  He  worked  with  the  na2onal  sports  team  (Orienteering)  and  the  educa2onal  commiNee  for  the  Associa2on  in  Hong  Kong.  He  completed  his  master  training  in  University  of  Otago  for  Manipula2ve  Physiotherapy  with  his  research  on  clinical  pilates  which  focusing  of  analyze  movement  paNern  for  pa2ent.  His  publica2on  and  presenta2on  can  be  found  from  his  website:    hNp://www.kennyyuphysio.com            Kenny  trained  for  acupuncture  with  the  study  of  tradi2onal  Chinese  medicine  straight  a?er  gradua2on  and  that’s  how  he  started  with  cupping  therapy,  while  intergraded  the  east  meet  west  approach.  With  the  inspira2on  from  the  doctor  in  china  and  modifica2on  of  the  therapeu2c  cup  now  the  applica2on  for  the  silicon  cup  to  the  body,  Kenny  intergrade  the  east  meet  west  approach  and  will  help  us  to  unmask  the  therapeu2c  secret  of  Chinese  tradi2onal  cupping  therapy  and  apply  it  to  deal  with  the  tricky  and  complex  musculoskeletal  and  fascia  system.

Course  Descrip,on   Modern  Cupping  Therapy  (MCT)  works  extremely  well  with  physiotherapists  who  specialize  on  musculoskeletal  problem  and  deal  with  connec2ve  2ssue  2ghtness.  Unlike  tradi2onal  cupping  therapy  which  rely  heavily  on  skills  of  temperature  control  and  glass  manipula2on,  MCM  is  easy  for  applica2on  yet  comprehensive  with  variety.  The  unique  feature  of  allowing  movement  during  the  applica2on  provides  excellent  result  for  sports  injuries  and  exercise  rehabilita2on.          

Learning  Objec,ve 1.  To  develop  a  beNer  understanding  and  knowledge  of  tradi2onal  and  modern  cupping  therapy.    2.  To  develop  a  greater  understanding  and  knowledge  of  different  sizes,  direc2on  of  forces  and

considers  local  and  referred  sources  of  pain  and  directs  the  clinician  to  develop  an  appropriate  management  plan  by  the  use  MCM.
