Yes, we know it sounds like a 13-year-old head banger’s dream come true. The Iron Maidens are, as you can probably guess from the name, an all-

female Iron Maiden tribute band. But what you might sec-ond guess is whether the lineup boasts top-notch, talented players who also happen to be hot chicks. You can find out first hand when they melt faces locally at The Cave in the Village area of Big Bear Lake April 29, their third visit to the local music venue since it opened in 2013.

Rest assured, the Maidens are the best of both metal worlds, looks and licks that kill. Even the Maidens’ Eddie has sex appeal. Edwina, natch, is a tarted-up, female ver-sion of Iron Maiden’s beloved macabre mascot, Eddie, cre-ated for Iron Maiden by artist Derek Riggs. Riggs, whose original Eddie caricature remains synonymous with the legendary British metal band and is featured on nearly all Iron Maiden album covers and merch, created Edwina, as well.
