    Introduction

    Mock Test 1 has been created on the pattern of

    Common Law Admission Test. This test represents theexact level of difficulty both in terms of question type

    and level. The test has five sections with a total of 200

    questions. A student is expected to attempt this test in

    120 minutes in actual test like environment.

    This section was a combination of questions that testedcomprehension ability, grammar and vocabulary.Overall the section had easy to moderate level ofdifficulty. The section consisted of:

    1 RC Passage (Total 10 questions)

    4 questions on Vocabulary - synonyms

    4 questions on Word spelling 5 questions on Para Jumbles

    4 questions on Contextual Vocabulary (Fill in theblanks)

    5 questions on Idioms

    4 questions on Grammar

    This section contained mixed variety of questions

    from all genres covering national-internationalevents, personalities, places, awards, history,

    geography, polity, economy and science &

    technology. The section was almost equally divided

    into current affairs and static GK part consisting of:

    Overall, the section was of Moderate to harddifficulty level. Students required to be well-versed

    with both the current affairs as well as other areas of

    GK.

    This section of the test was of easy to moderate level

    of difficulty. The section consisted of:

    4 questions on Algebra

    11 questions on Arithmetic 1 question on Geometry

    The section covered all the topics as shown above.

    The distribution of questions was more towardsAlgebra, Arithmetic, Numbers. Almost all the

    Quantitative Ability questions were based on

    fundamentals and involved few calculations.

    This section tested two areas of Logical Reasoning:

    Verbal Reasoning

    Analytical Reasoning

    It had 35 questions on Verbal Reasoning and 5questions on Analytical Reasoning. The questions

    were of moderate difficulty level and tested the

    ability of students to think logically and analytically.

    The student was expected to understand the

    language of the question and then to use reasonand logic in order to deduce the answer.

    Legal Aptitude

    This section had 50 questions on Legal Aptitude

    comprising of both Legal Reasoning as well asLegal Knowledge:

    30 questions on Legal Reasoning

    20 questions on Legal Knowledge

    Overall, the section was of Moderate difficulty

    level. The section tested the ability of students to

    understand and interpret the legal language. At

    the same time, they were also expected to have

    some basic knowledge of the constitution and

    other legal developments around.

    Legal Reasoning: The legal reasoning was a real brain

    twister comprising of 12 cluster questions (commonprinciple and facts to many series of questions) and 18

    individual questions which were of easy to moderate

    difficulty level. Questions were from Law of Contracts,

    Torts, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, International

    Law and also on General Legal Principles. The clusterquestions were all from Law of Contract.

    Legal Knowledge: The Legal Knowledge part of Mock

    1 was not a cinch. The overview of general principles of

    law was necessary to be able to effectively finish these20 questions. The majority of questions even though

    were not from current legal developments but

    nevertheless were not so easy.
