Project: Building amphibious mousetrap car and creating mock advertisement.TRANSCRIPT
• BLARG! is a mousetrap car
• Vehicle that uses a mousetrap for a motor
• String attached to mousetrap and axle
• One end of string is tied to arm on mousetrap, while other end is wound around axle
• Wind string around axle = stretching mouse trap’s spring = stored energy
• Releasing mouse trap pulls string off axle, causing wheels to turn
• AMPHIBIOUS!– Able to operate on land and in water
• Rolling, FLOATING speed demon!
• Originally, the cup glued to the wheel was sliced into four separate 1.5” x ¾” pieces.
• Too much resistance on water – did not propel
• NOW – each slice is 1” x ¾”
