EURES, as part of the Public Employment service and a key player in international mobility.

• Internal promotion… is just as important as external promotion

• External promotion… PES colleagues are important promoters.

We have to motivate and involve colleagues!

Secure that all our colleagues have basic skills in internationalmobility. • An E-training,

• A manual,

• Methods for recruitment activities,

• Methods for counselling incoming- and outgoing job-seekers

• A Policy Document, EURES and international employment services.

Purpose:• To assure quality of service,

• To identify ”best practices”

• To describe the “limit” between EU-citizens’ rights according to the EU-directives national rules.

• To affirm EURES’/PES’ position as a key player in international placement,

• To ensure quality of service,

• To facilitate international mobility,

• To motivate staff,

• To identify best practises

• To develop a a common approach,

In order to succeed, it is important that the whole organisation;

The Headquarter, line-managers, EURES advisers and PES staff, are aware of the pitfalls!

The EURES network

We work on an ever-changing market. Shortages/surpluses come and go or change.

The EURES network, of more than 800 EURES Advisers, means to have access to a lot of information

• Current labour market information,

• Current living and working information,

• Other labourmarket related information.

To work in a network like EURES you must show commitment

And you must have the time!

Joint Projects.

Most projects are directly linked to recruitment activities, but could also be related to labour market research, benchmarking of best practices and other labour market related issues.

According to my experience, there are a few things to think about when participating in a joint project, especially if the project language is a foreign language. • Before starting up a joint project, check if all participants understand

the same thing with the project plan!

• What can you do and not do according to your own national rules and organisation.

• Check the time table.
