Account Generation

With Account Generation it is possible to generate a number of client accounts with specified

settings. All generated clients are assigned to a LOT identified by name, therefore the whole client

pack can be easily modified later. Accounts generation makes it possible to create a LOT for a

reseller (a reseller can see this lot and manage it) and under reseller (in this case the reseller can

see only the clients, but he doesn't have access to LOT settings).

Add account

Click Add button then you can create one or more account.

Description and client type card

In the first step the Lot Description and Client type need to be specified. A lot's description identifies

the group of clients. A name that best reflects the client pack should be used so it can easily be

recognized. The Description is displayed in the Lot column. Optionally a reseller's assignment can

be chosen at this stage. If selected, a whole

LOT will be created under the reseller, so he will be able to manage the Lot and its clients via VSR.

In the first stage it is possible to load a LOT generation file. Obviously the file can be created

manually but the better option is to go through the Wizard and then save a template file.

Expiry date and active time

This step enables setting up time limits like Activation date, Expiry date and Active time. It can be

specified if the LOT should be activated with the first use or on a specified date, how long it should

remain active (after expiration time the LOT will be deactivated) and how long all accounts under

this LOT should remain active for.

In detail:

Expiry date determines the exact date when accounts will be deactivated.

Active time stands for the time, specified in days or months, after which an account will be

deactivated, starting from the activation date.

In this step, please don’t click “Use time limits”.

Funds and tariff

For all clients created in a Lot a particular tariff and currency can be set and initial funds can be

added. Also advanced tariff options can be set by checking the Choose according to check-box. If a

reseller hasn't been chosen before, it can be done at this stage. If so, only clients belonging to the

LOT will be assigned to him. He will be able to manage their accounts using VSR but won't see the

LOT on his LOT list.

Before choosing a tariff a currency has to be specified and afterwards a tariff can be selected

according to the chosen currency. If a reseller was selected, the choice will be narrowed to his

tariffs.

Data source

At this stage you can choose if client's data source should be generated or loaded from a file.

Login generation rules

On this screen rules regarding login generation can be set. It is possible to determine the number of

characters the login will consist of, starting characters, type of characters that will be used when

creating logins and set sequential generation. The sequential generation feature enables

generating logins sequentially. This is done by setting the Starting number and Step. The Starting

number will be attached to the starting characters (if any is set) and increased by the Step value.

Remaining characters, from the Number of characters, will be filled with zeros. For example setting

Number of characters to 8, Starting characters as "DON_", Starting number as "100" and Step as

"2" will create logins like DON_0100, DON_0102, DON_0104 and so on... The Sequential

generation feature can only use the Use numbers option.

With the Check with database button it can be verified if the logins that are about to be created can

be added to the database without any problem.

Password generation rules

In this section similar settings as for login generation can be set for passwords.

Serial generation rules

In this step rules for generating serials can be set. Settings are similar to the previous two steps.

Pin generation rules

Please just click Use empty.

Prefixes

This step enables setting a common tech prefix for all clients in a Lot. If a Lot is generated with a

reseller assigned, his modificators for prefixes can be added to the Lot clients settings by pressing

the Load reseller prefixes button.

In this step, please don’t setting anything, just click

next button.

Connection settings

For clients being created connection settings such as Calls limit, Do not generate ringback and

Recognize by ANI can be set. Available options depend on the type of client that lot is generated

for.

Codecs

The last step in the LOT generation wizard is codecs selection. For all clients in a Lot the same set

of codecs can be chosen from the list of audio, video and fax codecs. If more than one codec is

chosen, it is recommended to tick the Use client codec option.

Must to click three of “Use clients codecs”.

Summary before generation

Before the generation process is triggered the Summary screen will display all settings made

during the Wizard process. On this screen a template file can be saved so it can be loaded into the

Wizard some time later. If the selected configuration is as it should be and no mistakes can be seen

on the Summary screen the generation process can be started by pressing the Generate button.

Generation result

After the generation is finished a brief report is displayed automatically. Also in this step a full report

can be viewed and saved to a file.
