Full Function Mobile Shiploadersoffer a cost effective and fast tracksolution with complete flexibility.

By combining the benefits of theSamson™ Receiving Unit plus comprehensive options of travelsystems and trimming equipmentthe B&W Mobile Shiploader offersthe level of performance normally associated with fixed installations but with complete flexibility.

Since no special civil works arerequired the Mobile Shiploader mayoperate on any suitable existingquay area or river berth using exist-ing infrastructure thus drasticallyreducing the capital cost of a newexport facility with the furtherbenefit of fast track availability.

The flexibility and fast track availabilityoffered by mobile equipment allows theport operator to react to changing mar-ket conditions taking advantage of oftenshort term contracts. In a rapidly chang-ing export commodity market, the MobileOption may be confidently selected inthe knowledge that the equipment maybe easily relocated or even resold if acontract is terminated.

The strong second-hand market forthese machines guarantees excellent

residual values thus minimising theinvestment risk associated with anyproject however volatile the marketconditions may be.

The Samson™ provides a bufferholding capacity storing the materialbetween truck deliveries to providea constant discharge to the outload-ing boom.

In this manner trucks may be rapidlydischarged and the overall handlingrate of the installation optimised toincrease the average loading rate tothe vessel.

The Samson™ Apron Belt Feederrepresents a major feature in theapplication of Mobile Shiploadersallowing virtually any dry bulk cargoto be received direct from tippingtrucks without the need for perma-nent civil works.

By mounting the Samson™ (eithersingly or in pairs) to the Shiploaderchassis the complete equipmentmay be moved as a single integratedunit.

Each Samson™ is mounted to a pivotshaft at the head and supported on

twin hydraulic cylinders allowing thecomplete machine to be raised clear ofthe quay surface for manoeuvring.

Automatic feed rate control systemsmeter the material delivery to the out-loading boom to maintain maximumloading rate without fear of overload.
