–– Mobile Guarding Mobile Guarding A commercial building in Toledo, OH was having issues with trespassing and vandalism. In one instance, vandals threw rocks through the windows at the building entrance – this was the final straw. Building management contacted Securitas to see what solutions they could recommend. Challenge: This building had a security system but no physical security presence. The client did not feel the need for a full-time security presence, but knew that if there wasn’t some sort of visible deterrent, the vandalism would undoubtedly continue. Solution: Securitas recommended Mobile Guarding which would provide a visible deterrent without the unneeded cost of a static security officer on-site. The custom-designed Mobile Guarding solution included: • Patrols: two proactive patrol inspections per evening at random but regimented times. • Alarm response: Securitas Mobile officers now respond to all alarms at the building and Securitas’ National Communications Center assumed alarm dispatching services. • Emergency response: tenants can call Securitas directly in an emergency situation. • Real-time reporting of all inspections is done via smart phone app, which provides detailed reporting. Result: • In the six months since patrols began, there have been no instances of vandalism. • Mobile patrol officers have identified potential safety hazards such as burned out lights, leaking pipes, and unsecured doors. • False alarm fee savings – by having Securitas Mobile respond to false alarms (typically activated by a tenant accidentally not setting the alarm properly), the client has reduced costs related to law enforcement responding to alarms. • Tenants who access the building after normal work hours have commented to management about how much they appreciate the parking lot patrols at night. • The client is provided with real-time web-based reporting of patrol inspections through a secure online client portal. www.securitasinc.com ©2017 Securitas Inc.
