Connecting to the NSW Health Statewide Remote Access Service (SWRAS) SWRAS can be accessed from via this link: https://www.swras.health.nsw.gov.au

*Note: If you are using a personal computer, please make sure you have Citrix installed

by navigating to: receiver.citrix.com and installing the latest Citrix Workspace app

(Page ? for Windows installation, Page ? for Apple macOS installation).

Enter your staff ID for the username:

Choose whether you would like to receive the verification code via your nominated mobile phone,

or Email address (for more information on setting up your verification details, see p.14):

Enter the PIN/verification code (that has been sent to you) in the next window.

The next section uses Citrix Receiver to launch the MNCLHD applications. If you are

using an MNCLHD device, Citrix will already be installed. If you are using a personal

computer and you are not sure if you have Citrix, please refer to the installation

instructions on page 10. Once you see the screen below (valid for Chrome, Edge, and

Firefox (For Internet Explorer see page 4). Select 'Detect Receiver'

*If using: Internet Explorer

When using Internet Explorer, you may get a popup within the browser asking for

permission to use Citrix, please 'Enable', and run the following (tick 'do not show again'):

Auto detection of Citrix will occur, if nothing happens after a few seconds, please press

'Already Installed'.

If Citrix is correctly installed, you will see the following 'Citrix StoreFront' Login window

appear (enter your Staff ID for username, and normal login password):

*if you are still not seeing the above login screen, please note you may have to restart

your PC if you have only just recently installed Citrix.

Once logged in, you will see your available Citrix Apps: PLEASE REMEMBER to log off when you are finished.

If you have a Remote/Virtual desktop available, it will be listed under 'Desktops', via the

top tab (show below):

PLEASE REMEMBER:

Sign Out when you are finished using the Remote/Virtual Desktop.

Signing out of the Virtual/Remote Desktop and MNC Storefront

If you are using a Virtual/Remote Desktop from within the MNC StoreFront, please

remember to Sign Out when you are finished using it. Please not that

'Disconnecting' (this also happens if your session times out) from your Virtual/Remote

Desktop is not the same as Signing Out, Disconnecting will save any work you have in

progress, for example if you are in the middle of a document and you lose connection,

when you reconnect to the desktop, your work will be where you left it. Think of

'disconnect' as the same as "Locking your computer' when you go to lunch, and 'Sign

Out' as the same as 'logging off', like you do when you leave work for the day.

There are two main ways of disconnecting/signing out, the first is, using the toolbar

(middle of the screen, at the very top) shown below:

Clicking on the toolbar brings up the full set of options:

From here, you can 'Disconnect', which saves your current session. Choosing 'CTRL +

ALT + DEL' will bring up the option to 'Sign Out'. The 'Lock' option serves the same

purpose as Disconnect.

The second method of Disconnecting/Signing out is to right-click on the start menu,

choose 'Shut down or sign out', and then either 'Disconnect', or 'Sign out'.

PLEASE NOTE: After you have signed out of the Virtual/Remote Desktop, or if you

have been using the MNC StoreFront Citrix apps, please remember to Log Off as this

may affect your Citrix apps on your work PC.

At the 'Citrix StoreFront' (MNC StoreFront), click on the arrow next to your name at the

top right of the window, and choose 'Log Off'.

Troubleshooting

When you open the 'Remote Desktop', depending on the browser you are using, the

desktop may not open up. A downloaded file (.ICA file) may appear as a download. If you

choose the options for the file, and 'Always open', it will open up the remote desktop via

Citrix from then on.

If you receive the below popup, asking what the browser should do with the file. In most

cases, this means you have either not installed Citrix, not installed correctly, or you have

not restarted the PC after having installed Citrix. A guide to installing Citrix is on the next

page.

Installing Citrix Workspace on your personal Windows Computer

Navigate to receiver.citrix.com. Click on 'Download for Windows', then click on the

'Download Citrix Workspace app for Windows'.

If you are using Chrome/Edge browser, you will see the download at the bottom of the

page. If you are using Internet Explorer, it will ask if you want to run or save the file,

choose 'Run' so the install opens up automatically once the download is finished. If you

download the file and then you cannot find it to install, open File Explorer > Downloads

and you will find the file as the latest addition.

You may get asked for permission to allow the app to make changes, press Yes to

continue the installation.

The first window of the Citrix installation should then appear (as below), click Start .

Accept the terms and click Next.

You can then choose whether you want to enable 'App protection', enabling is

recommended. Then click Install.

You should then see the 'Installation successful' window, you can select Finish.

At this point, please restart your PC. If you are using Windows 10, right-click on the start

menu > Shut down or sign out > Restart (as below)

Citrix is now installed and ready for use.

If Citrix prompts you to "Set Up Account" or "Add Account" please de-select or

"Cancel that option."

Installing Citrix Workspace on your personal Apple macOS Computer 1. Navigate to receiver.citrix.com and click “Download for Mac”: 2. Click “Download Citrix Workspace app for Mac”: 3. Click “Allow” to allow the installer to be downloaded to your computer:

4. Click “Downloads” in the bottom right next to the “Bin” and click “CitrixWorkspaceApp.dmg” 5. Open “Install Citrix Workspace”

6. Click “Continue” at each prompt until you reach the screen pictured in the next step:

7. You do not need to add an account. Click “Continue” on this screen:

8. Click “Close” after the installation has completed: 9. Choose to “Keep” the installer in case you need to uninstall or reinstall the application.

Verification code settings

Your verification code nominated email/mobile phone is setup within StaffLink. Login

to StaffLink via int.mnclhd.health.nsw.gov.au.

Click on 'Settings' then "Preferences' at the top of the page (as shown below).

Under 'Change Password', click on 'Click here to set your secret questions'.

Then click on 'Update your 'Verification Code Registration'.

Enter your nominated email address and mobile number, click Continue. You have now

updated your verification code settings.
