The GAU-5/A/A is the United States Air Force version of the XM177E2 Commando Carbine. This firearm historically replicates the weapon used by The Son Tay Raiders in the largest rescue attempt of American POWs. 45 of the 56 Special Forces

troopers were equipped with the GAU during the night raid on the Son Tay prison camp.

This limited edition, historically accurate GAU-5/A/A is done in partnership with The National League of POW/MIA Families, with portions of the proceeds to support their sole purpose: “to obtain the release of all prisoners, the fullest possible

accounting for the missing and repatriation of all recoverable remains of those who died serving our nation during Vietnam”.

The XM177E2 was developed in 1967 to suit the specific combat needs of the Military Assistance Command, Vietnam – Studies

and Observations Group (MACV-SOG). MACV-SOG was a highly classified, multi-service, United States special operations unit

which conducted covert operations. Their weapon, the XM177E2, became highly desired by Commando Forces for its compact size,

fire power, high reliability and reduced signature.

Proceeds of each XM177E2 sold will go to support the charitable efforts of The Special Forces Association and the Special

Operations Association as they, “commemorate fittingly the memory of those who have given their lives in defense of the Free

World” through financial support and assistance to SFA and SOA members and families through scholarships and emergency relief."

The TROY Side Action Rifle (SAR) was developed for precision-based shooting in a rugged, reliable, light-weight (5.5 lbs in 14.7”), 50-State Legal package, ideal for hunting and target shooting. The billet machined stock folds to a 24.5” OAL in 14.7” (26” w/16”) making it perfect for backpack or cross body wear. The side charge handle with Target Knob can also be positioned left or right for fast follow-up shots for all left and right-handed shooters.
