The Woltex is ideally suited for water
distribution networks and wherever water
must be metered with accuracy and
reliability.
It is available in sizes DN 50 to 500.
Wide Measuring RangeThe metrological performances of Woltex
far exceed ISO/EEC Class B standards.
Significant endurance capacities are
ensuring accurate and reliable metering in
time in a large scope of applications, such
as water distribution networks, bulk billing,
process control.
Endurance and Peak Flow ResistanceWoltex performances are the result of
more than twenty years experience in
Horizontal Woltmann design, from the first
hydrodynamically balanced helix patent
in 1985 still resulting in unmatched
endurance capabilities, to the use of high
quality materials.
Ease of Installation, Read andMaintenanceWoltex range is available in various lengths
and connections to minimize installation
costs. Interchangeable approved
mechanisms allows easy maintenance
without re-calibration.
Ease of read in the toughest environments
(ie: flooded pits) is secured by orientable
hermetically sealed register (copper
can/mineral glass envelope).
Communication DevicePre-equipped for future communication
through Cyble.

Working Principle
The water velocity is rotating the horizontalaxis propeller. Special shape of its outletbearing ➋ is counteracting the naturalhydraulic thrust applied on the propeller thenpreventing any downstream pivot wear.
This hydrodynamic balance was firstlypatented on Woltex range in 1985 and stillfeatures the product with unmatchedenduring capacities. Most sizes features twoEEC/ISO approvals for the same meter, whichboth secure low flow rate and high overloadaccuracy in time.
The propeller rotation is transmitted to theregister by a protected gear transmission anddirect magnetic coupling ➌ .
The cast iron body ➍ is durably protectedagainst the effects of corrosion by epoxypowder coating.
The hermetically sealed copper can/mineralglass register ➊ is safeguarding the read andintegrity of the indicator in the toughestenvironments (flooded pits, mechanicaltampering attempts, …).

Woltex is supplied pre-equipped with CybleTargetAllows communication and remote readingthrough:• Pulse output (Cyble Sensor)• M-Bus protocol (Cyble M-Bus)• Radio frequency wireless link (Cyble RF)
These Cyble modules allow the Woltex meterto be connected with various associatedsystems if and when desired. They are particularly adapted to commercialand industrial applications where a need forfrequent meter monitoring is expressedespecially in hard-to-read locations.

Installation Requirements
• Woltex could be installed regardless of position (EEC/ISO approval class B all positions).
• Installation of a strainer upstream of the meter is recommended to protect the hydraulicsagainst raw particles (see Actaris strainer leaflet).
• We recommend the installation of a flow straightener directly upstream of the meter tocancel the effects of hydraulic perturbations (ie swirls, dissymetric velocity flow profiles) onHorizontal Woltmann accuracy. (see Actaris straightener leaflet).
