History

MMPD is Qld’s largest newsprint distributor and as a specialist service provider was established in 2006. The business has continued to develop and now proudly enjoys the role as Solution provider for News Qld’s. MMPD has significant and highly respected relationships with multi-national and National newsprint and magazine industry partners. This will soon deliver considerable export business on the strength of our domestic business. Within the last 24months MMPD has developed a significant re-seller supply chain and retailer relationships which will prove invaluable once News Ltds newly created distribution model is released on the 1st March 2013.

Management Team and Board Managing Director: (Simon Coulter – Director)

Operations Manager: (Katrina Roberts)National Service Manager: (Daryl Bishop)Client Relationship Services: (Ebony Matthews) Administration Officer: (Tina Moore)Distribution Supervisor: (John Northcott)Accountant: (Dan McKay – DMP)Solicitor: (Greg Rostron – Rostron and Carlyle)Financial Institution: (Roger Willis – Bank of QLD)

OrganisationThe business is a specialist distributor of newsprint and magazines in Aust and NZ. This enterprise has developed and completed all the R&D to date on FLATWRAP in Aust and now has its own sales and service division to support the technology. The business focuses on delivering a TOTAL Solution for its clients. Design – Advertising - Print – Distribution. Due to MMPD’s dynamic structure and ability to deliver its clients their preferred distribution option the business has continued to thrive and deliver substantial profits with the focus now squarely on developing the export market with particular focus centring on the markets of North America.

Products and CustomersMMPD develops and implements distribution models specific to the clients needs whilst offering an Australian and NZ TOTAL distribution and logistics solution. Completed all R&D on the FLATWRAP tech and will further develop this tech to include a range of products so that all equipment used in the distribution and handling of newsprint and packaging equipment is ergonomically sound, exceeds Aust WHS/OHS standards whilst substantially improving the handling systems for the newsprint and magazine industry. Company has products that will transform distribution centres into highly profitable logistic centres with up to 6 additional revenue streams being implemented at the final stage of the distribution process.

Unique Competitive Advantage

The extensive experience of the Mgt team and the companies strong position & reputation within the QLD market translates into a deep understanding of what the industry is seeking and where markets are developing. MMPD was first introduced to News LTD in 2006 and will now have the opportunity to deliver and implement the strategies, practices and procedures that the Aust and NZ industry requires. The recent announcement by Rupert Murdoch that declared FLATWRAP as News LTDs preferred option will ensure that the current central wrap model in development will have the opportunity to be trialled in two News Ltd print sites within QLD. The opportunity to build a distribution centre that delivers highly profitable revenue streams from processes that till now have not been achievable. Now backed by an extensive service team, that differentiates us from the majority of competitors. The challenge of Australia’s geographically remoteness has also been overcome by implementing procedures and practices that deliver peace of mind for the client and builds confidence and respect within the market. Financials

FY 2011 yielded sales in excess of $3.2m and an unaudited profit of ~$300k before tax. We seek to achieve a turnover in excess of $5m over the next 2-3 years based on growth in new product range in the domestic and entering major overseas market such as the USA/Canada.

Opportunity or Issue for Discussion

Real and sustainable growth can only be achieved in developing both innovative tech and distribution models that technology that is suitable for export markets. The traditional Company product range dealing with secondary packaging is very competitive in the larger markets. To break into the larger markets with ‘me too” equipment was not considered to be the smartest way of exporting although we do export of our product range into tough markets. The USA market for Company’s new Wrap/Hopper Fed conveyor product is substantial and closer than ever due to News Ltds recent communications.

Company seeks to develop significant market activity and presence for its product range and provide a masthead for similar equipment in the USA and replicate this where possible in any world market.

We seek advice on the most appropriate entry and operational models in the USA in order to catapult the Company brand and business value over the next 1-5 years.

We seek an equity partner to ensure all current R&D is completed asap due to recent industry developments that are suited to MMPD’s distribution model in QLD.
