The IT-University of Copenhagen• Established in 1999 as an independent faculty of the CBS, soon to be Denmark’s 12th university • Goals (state commision): - ”To produce more and different IT-candidates at a masters level” - ”To conduct research in IT at a high international level” - ”To participate in the general public debate on the use and potentials of IT”
• Staff (app., by the end of 2002): - 27 faculty members - app. 25 PhD student - app. 50 external lecturers
Teaching at the ITU
• A graduate school, - i.e., students must have a bachelor degree
• App. 1500 students enrolled (by Fall, 2002) - More than 1200 candidate & master students - Diploma students - Flexible education students
• Radically interdisciplinary: More than 150 different bachelor degrees represented

• Four study tracks offered by ITU: - Design, Communication and Media (DKM) - Internet technology (InT) - Multimedia technology (MMT) - Software development (SWU)
• Two outsourced study tracks: - e-Business (Copenhagen Business School) - Cross-disciplinary IT (Roskilde University)
