    TARGET MEAN STRENGTH

    fck=fck+(Sxt)

    = 20 + (4.0 X 1.65) = 26.6 MPa

    SELECTION OF WATER CEMENT RATIO

    Water cement ratio = 0.45

    AIR CONTENT

    Air content=2%

    CALCULATE OF WATER CONTENT

    Water content =186 kg (As per Table No. 4, IS: 10262)

    % of fine Agg =35%

    SAND CONTENT

    Sand content=35+1.5%

    =36.5%

    CALCULATE THE CEMENT CONTENT

    w/c = 0.45

    186/0.45 =c

    Cement content =414kg/m3

    CALCULATE C.A &F.A (AS PER IS: 10262, CI, NO.3.5.1)

    1-0.02 = (186+ (414/3.15) + (1/0.365) x (fa/2.66) x (1/1000)

    Fa= 643.29 kg/m3

    Where:

    V = absolute volume of fresh concrete, which is equal to gross volume (m3) minus the

    volume of entrapped air,

    W = mass of water (kg) per m3of concrete,

    C = mass of cement (kg) per m3of concrete,

    Sc= specific gravity of cement,

    (p) = Ratio of fine aggregate to total aggregate by absolute volume,

    (fa) , (ca) = total mass of fine aggregate and coarse aggregate (kg) per m3of

    Concrete respectively, and

    Sfa,Sca= specific gravities of saturated surface dry fine aggregate and Coarse

    aggregate respectively.

    CALCULATE THE QUARY SAND (20%)

    Silica fume =643.29X20/100=128.65kg/m3

    COARSE AGGREGATE
