Missouri School Counselor Standards and Quality Indicators – Professional Continuum August 24, 2012 Final 1 1 Standard #1 – Student Development The professional school counselor utilizes his/her skills and knowledge of student development and behavior to promote the mental health and wellbeing of all students by facilitating their academic, career, and personal/social development.
