I had to allow others into my life and lower the walls of self sufficiency and self protection. It feels really scary to lose control and to surrender things to God. Basically . . . I like to be in control, and I like to be liked. I have never been exposed to community like this ever before. It was my best summer honestlyit was the best and most productive summer I ever lived. Here are the areas I was most impacted by: serving the city and spreading the gospel, I confirmed my calling to be in full time ministry, and I came out of my shell to be myself. I learned about: leadership, responsibility, integrity, lordship, and how my life affects others I lead. It transformed my heart for outreach; which has always been hard for me. I have gained a new heart for the lost. I could honestly say this was one of the best decisions I have ever made. :) Thank you for making this project possible! You staff are so inspiring to me and I am so grateful!” Having fun while being on mission together was a big value for the past 7 weeks! We saw God do an amazing amount of incredible things. The gospel was preached lovingly and boldly, people were prepared for continued ministry, and deep community was formed - all while having tons of fun! It is exciting to see the thinking that is being developed, and the decisions that these students are making that will impact the rest of their lives! We are sincerely thankful for you! urban missions in san fran!

Here is a college student sharing about her challenges and insights:

“The hardest part of the summer is that it surfaced issues that I didn’t even know that I had! I had to allow

others into my life and lower the walls of self sufficiency and self protection. It feels really scary to lose control

and to surrender things to God. Basically . . . I like to be in control, and I like to be liked. I have never been

exposed to community like this ever before. It was my best summer honestly—it was the best and most

productive summer I ever lived.

Here are the areas I was most impacted by: serving the city and spreading the gospel, I confirmed my calling to

be in full time ministry, and I came out of my shell to be myself. I learned about: leadership, responsibility,

integrity, lordship, and how my life affects others I lead. It transformed my heart for outreach; which has

always been hard for me. I have gained a new heart for the lost. I could honestly say this was one of the best

decisions I have ever made. :) Thank you for making this project possible! You staff are so inspiring to me and

I am so grateful!”

Having fun while being on mission together was a big value for the past 7 weeks! We saw God do an amazing

amount of incredible things. The gospel was preached lovingly and boldly, people were prepared for continued

ministry, and deep community was formed - all while having tons of fun! It is exciting to see the thinking that is

being developed, and the decisions that these students are making that will impact the rest of their lives!

We are sincerely thankful for you!
