From the Pastor

My Dear Parishioners,

In the best of families, there can be misunderstanding and hurt due to pride and selfishness. Our Lord encounters these things once again in today’s gospel passage. In our relationships with one another, it is easy to blame and find fault when things don’t go according to our plans. Often we lose sight of God’s plan for us because we are so turned in on ourselves. We are not alone in our struggle. God, who is with us amidst the difficulty, is our strength when we are weak. As baptized members of Christ’s Body, the Church, we can draw strength from Our Lord by exercising our faith, hope and love. Our psalm encourages us to “fix our eyes on the Lord, pleading for His mercy.” Let us ask Jesus to help us look again at the situation and see what we can do with His help for the good of our brothers and sisters.

God Bless America: On this 245th anniversary of our country’s independence, we pause to thank God for all the benefits He has bestowed upon us. We ask God to continue to send the Holy Spirit to guide our country, our president and congress, and all the citizens of the United States of America to continue to live as “one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

In Christ,Father Guadagnoli
