Helping others navigate through the headwinds of life

MissionAspire II Nav Foundation’s mission is to keep hope alive for individuals, families, businesses, communities and institutions as they navigate the headwinds of life. Regardless of whether these headwinds are caused by poor health, living environment, lack of education or training, criminal record, economic hardship, bad choices or a myriad of obstacles, Aspire II Nav Foundation is dedicated to help when other resources are unavailable.

Then & NowAspire II Nav Foundation was established in 2010 with initial gifts from several generous contributors and continues as a charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

We are able to provide assistance because of the referral of applicants and the generous support from individuals and groups who share our abiding passion for advancing human achievement.

Started in Northeast Ohio, our philanthropic efforts have spread throughout the United States.

our applicationThe Foundation’s confidential two-page application is sent to each of our donors and past referrals with our bi-annual newsletter. Individuals, families, businesses, communities and institutions may apply. There are no set deadlines. In assessing the financial need and headwind of the Applicant, our Board considers information that a referral source may provide. Once an application is received, written notification of the Board of Directors’ decision will occur within 30 days or earlier.

A co-worker referred a grandmother who •needed to care for grandchildren following family trauma.

A counselor referred two children so that •they could attend an afterschool enrichment program and their mother could work and pursue her GED.

An insurance agent referred a young mother •needing to set up a safe household.

A church member referred a family needing •shoes and clothing for school.

A teacher referred a mother who was trying •to help her son overcome addiction.

The Winds of changeLife’s challenges — adversities, tragedies, hardships, crises and bad choices — force change; and change presents opportunities. One action impacts another and our actions create a ripple effect as we sustain currents of hope. Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest impact on lives.

A friend referred a family that was trying to build •a wheelchair ramp for the son with muscular dystrophy but couldn’t afford the materials.

A coach referred a former player who had •to drop out of school following his mother’s death to care for his sister with Down’s Syndrome. He later obtained a scholarship and financial aid to return to school, but was without transportation.

A contractor, having learned about the •foundation, referred his son’s friend in need of help when family challenges arose…
