Of the 14 beautiful young ladies compet-ing for the title of Miss Playa Blanca,
just two of them are from Panama. The other 12 Latina beauties have converged on Panama from as far away as Mexico, Ar-gentina and Cuba. The opportunity to rep-resent the Playa Blanca beach resort and residential development which now also houses its own Alta Vita Spa has proven
attractive for many young ladies from Latin America.
The contestants from abroad ex-pressed having thoroughly enjoyed their time in Panama. They couldn’t resist the wonderful beaches, excellent shopping and cosmopolitan flare of the capital. Participat-ing in the contest also gives them great ex-posure in the world of modeling in Panama.
De las 14 bellas chicas que compiten por el título de Miss Playa Blanca,
sólo dos de ellas de Panamá. Las otras 12 bellezas latinas vinieron a Panamá desde lugares tan lejanos como México, Argenti-na y Cuba. La oportunidad de representar a Playa Blanca, hotel y desarrollo residen-cial que ahora también cuenta con su pro-pio Alta Vita Spa resultó ser atractivo para
muchas jóvenes de América Latina.Las participantes del exterior expresa-
ron disfrutar mucho su estancia en Pana-má. No pudieron resistirse a las playas encantadoras, excelentes compras y el brillo cosmopolita de la capital. Participar en el concurso también les da gran expo-sición en el mundo del modelaje en Pa-namá.
BikinisinthecityMiss Playa Blanca will be held in the city on Friday, August 20, at Casa Nikki in Multiplaza. The traditional beach party atmosphere that surrounds this yearly
celebration will be transferred to the city this year. Electronic music DJs Armand Peña of Nikki Beach in South Beach and DJ Patrick who headlines at big clubs in Bogota will be in charge of keeping the good music playing until late. Entrance costs $35. Table
