Editorial MirnicologySummer was a blast! And we actually didn’t want it to end! The warmth of the sun, short skirts, flip-flops, smiles, and being able to stay outdoors after the sun has long gone, are just those few aspects of summer we will miss when we are heading towards winter. But, as all good things come to an end, winter also makes place for new ideas, new materials, new people, new ways of thinking and so.. new creations. Sum-mer inspired us for some great new concepts. City lovers as we are, we came up with ‘Urbanology’: a lamp, which gives the impression of a New York skyline reflected in water. You will find these new designs on page 5-10.But also our table, ‘Changing History’ is one of our new babies. This table can look different every day! The seven beams can be moved independently of each other, and so different patterns can be formed.
The new ‘Bright Inside’, ‘The Knock Out’ and ‘Cubed’, are all new lamps that can be ordered in different sizes or as a family unit.
This magazine is for you to get inspired, and for us to show you what we’ve been thinking of all summer. And not to get bored. At all. Let’s enjoy all the new designs, materials and forms in the warmth of our own homes. Let’s embrace winter with a little summer in mind.

Winter,herewecome!
It remains a fact: the city is a huge inspiration for us. Whether it is Amsterdam, Paris or New York, it is the hustle and bustle, the people, the architecture and the urban atmosphere that remains so incredibly fascinating. In one way or another, we never really got inspired by a blade of grass or a poppy. It’s the tall buildings, their shadows and their reflections and the traffic on the streets that continue to feed our minds with new ideas.
Our trip to New York this time was not intended to gain a new boost for our designs.

it’s the hustle and bustle
We just tried to enjoy the breath of New York: to shop, to see, to travel, to eat and to taste. But.. on the third day there was no more to cut! Exhausted after a day of strolling around, we decided to sit on a bench near the water. Our view was phe-nomenal! Without having to say a word to one other, we knew what this view would mean. The reflection of Brooklyn’s skyline in the East River would be our next lamp. We really couldn’t help it, we seriously just intended to enjoy our hot summer, but clearly: some things just need to be made!

Trusted forms, that’s what this shade is all about. But don’t be fooled!It may just look like a regular lampshade to you, though there is no light bulb in the middle. It is a whole new lighting design which is integrated into the double walled shade, and illuminates from within.The outer layer is covered with leather, which comes in brown and white. The inside lining is made of polished, colored backlit material, and is the only side which is lit.

These unique ‘Traffic’ lamps are based on illumination and image. Straight shapes combined with photography or just an eye-catching figure matching light and color. Movements from metropolises like Paris, Amsterdam and New York are captured within these apparently smooth shades. By day a serene appearance, until the lights turn on at night.

The lamps are manufactured of highest quality and are hand made. To the inside of the shades an extra photo layer is placed, which is especially visible when the lights turn on. The outside is finished with chintz, which is deliverable in different colors and sizes.
