Executive Director Mr. John Ware reported on the following:

1. Agent Training: On January 1 , the Board’s new online agent training went into effect.st

We have had over 100 licensed agents complete the training thus far and have receivedgenerally positive feedback. We expect over 1,200 agents to complete the training this year.

2. State Budget Update: On November 1 , we submitted the Board’s operating budgetst

request for the biennium that begins July 1, 2011. We have not yet received any guidancefrom the new Governor’s administration on budget issues. However, the current timelinecalls for the new Governor to submit his proposed budget by March 15 and the legislatureth

will work to finalize the budget by June 30th.

3. Director Training: We have scheduled two dates for director training this year. The firstdirector training seminar will be held on April 21 and the second will be held on Octoberst

4. Ethics Update: All Board members should be receiving the Ethics Commission’sannual financial disclosure statements in the mail soon and they must be filed with the EthicsCommission by April 15 .th

Below is a summary of investigate activity for FY 11:

Since the November 17, 2010 meeting, we have opened thirteen (13) new cases. The new casesinclude thirteen (13) new student complaints.

Since the November 17, 2010 meeting, we have closed twenty-two (22) total cases.
