    SOUTH SCARLE PARISH MEETING

    Minutes of Parish MeetingTuesday 28

    thJanuary 2015

    1. Present

    David Clarke (Chair), Adrian Lawton (Clerk), Edgar Candlish, Mo Tyler, Dave French,Alan & Linda Molineaux, David & Judith Duffield, Jean Ashley, Ben & Eleanor Mason,Anita Clements, Peter Rowlands, Brian & Elaine Leak, Florence Baldwin, Ann and Roger

    3. Minutes of Last Meeting

    The minutes of the meeting held on the 28thOctober, 2014 were approved. Proposed

    Peter Rowlands, Seconded Jean Ashley.

    4. Matters Arising From Previous Meeting

    The mounting of the Village Difribulator is awaiting the supply of a suitable box. Onefitted training for up to 12 people will be available. Further details, when available will be

    provided by the Chairman. Anyone interested please let him know.Action: D Clarke

    5. Correspondence

    i) The Clerk read out a notice from National Investments stating that the 1932 WarBond that the village has received a small interest payment over the years are tobe closed. Consequently the village will receive a payment of 340.07 in Marchin full and final settlement.

    6. Setting of the 2015/16 Precept charge

    The Clerk issued a chart outlining the expected outturn for this financial year and

    recommended a Precept charge set at 3,650 representing a 1.4% increase over thecurrent year to maintain a balance against routine expenditure. The proposed chargewas proposed by Judy Muirhead and seconded by David Duffield.

    7. Community Service

    Mr. Peter Rowlands enquired if anyone knew of a scheme where village tasks could beperformed by those on a Community Service charge issued by the courts. Many yearsago there was a scheme operated by the Prison at Morton. The Clerk undertook toestablish the mechanism for requesting works or services under the Community Servicescheme.

    8. Other Items

    Residents on Main Street are requested to show consideration to others when parkingon Main Street. The instances of double parking of late have lead to some minordamage and possible access issues for Emergency Services. If you have an off roadparking space please make use of it.
