•8 week residential program

•Employs hearing, deaf, and hard-of-hearing youth

•Youth work in teams of 7-9 to accomplish high priority natural resource projects

•15-20% of youth are deaf or hard of hearing

•Hearing youth learn American Sign Language

Cultural and communication barriers are crossed
