Infra Oman 2011: The Region’s Largest Gathering of Industrial Professionals
The 1st International Exhibition for Infrastructure and Industrial Projects emerged as the most sought-after event in the GCC construction annual calendar.
More than 120 local and international firms exhibited at Infra Oman 2011 who occupied more than 5,000 square meters of space in the exhibition hall and the outside area around the exhibition center.
The international participation beat all expectations with companies from more than 20 countries choosing Infra Oman as their first entry point to the most promising and lucrative construction market in the Middle East.
Several countries including Austria, Morocco, Romania, France, & Croatia registered their first appearance at Infra Oman during the 2011 edition. The show, held from September 20 to September 22 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre, has thus confirmed its position as a strategic platform for companies, government agencies and industry key players searching for networking and business opportunities.
The show was inaugurated by H.E. Dr. Rasheed bin Al Safi Al Huraibi, Chairman of the Tender Board Oman and accompanied by Ministry officials, members of the diplomatic forces, media and top business people.

On the second day H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Salim Al Futaisi, Minister of the Transport & Communications graced the exhibition with his presence and distributed certificates.
For First time in Oman, JCB together with Muscat Overseas presented the world famous “JCB Dancing Diggers” show, as part of the Infra Oman exhibition. Although in great demand, the Diggers limit their appearances to only few shows a year.
For the first time in Oman we had all the Major Heavy equipment dealers and brands participate in an exhibition in Oman, making Infra Oman the perfect and only exhibition to display and showcase their machinery, materials & equipment for construction and infrastructure projects.

At the visitor level, the show was successful in drawing more than 5,000 professionals and visitors of high caliber from Oman, GCC, Middle East and Other International countries. Professionals from the private and public sectors, government officials, key decision-makers and project managers were all available to network, learn about new products, and conduct business deals during Infra Oman.
The response to Infra Oman 2011 has been overwhelming. In spite of being in its first edition, the show has surpassed all expectations. If past experience is any guide, then this indicates that Infra Oman 2012 will be an edition that we will all be looking forward to!
