ORGANIC PRODUCTION IN REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA

• The number of producers in the Republic of Srpska is growing from year to year, this year we have included between 25 and 30 new producers in the system of organic production, of which 12 in livestock with the final product.

SUBSIDIES:

• Certificate cost 50%,

• Per area unit up to 500-600 BAM/ha depending on the type of crop production,

• For 300 square meters of protected space 600 BAM,

• Up to 500 BAM per animal;

• Soil analysis;

• Investments in agricultural machinery

• Irrigation systems,

• Subsidies for produced and sold aromatic and medicinal herbs (up to 15% of the average market price per unit),

• Subsidies for produced and sold fruits and vegetables (up to 15% of the average market price per unit of product).

1. „ORGANIC FEST SRPSKE“

• Agreement on mutual recognition of organic certificates was between Republic of Srpska and Serbia;

• Guide for consumers to help them recognize an organic product in the easiest way;

• Education for markets and stores which sell organic products and education for TV companies;

These activities resulted with 30 new producers in the transition period.

PLANS

• B2B meeting of organic producers with representatives of hoteliers in order to include their products in the gastronomic offer of our tourist destinations (mountains, spas, etc.)

• Meeting with representatives of local communities is planned so that they can get involved in supporting organic producers through their budgets and create certain measures to support organic producers in their local communities.

• Creating a guide for producers who are interested in being involved in organic production.

• Harmonize the Law of organic production with the Regultive 848/2018;
