The Showers’ Family Honors the 39th Wedding Anniversary of
Dr. Darnell Thomas and Missionary Phyllis Thomas
May God who has kept you together for 39 years
continue to bless your union.
We appreciate your love, sacrifices and support!
May the Lord look upon you with favor
and fill you with every spiritual benediction and grace.
PRAISE Missionary Phyllis Thomas This article features excerpts from Your Personal Prayer Journal © 2001 by Phyllis Thomas Scripture: “Rejoice in the Lord, O Ye righteous; for praise is comely for the upright.” Psalm 33:1
Inspiration: Regardless of the curcumstances, learn to give God sincere “praise”. For “praise” touches the “heart of God”.
Definitions: Praise: To exalt; to express approval or admiration for, commend. Worship: Humble devotion; reverent love, honor and allegiance for a deity.
Give praises to God who knows you best,
Enter into worship and receive great comfort and sweet rest.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow,
Ask Him for guidance and He will show you which way to go!
So as you daily use your praise key,
Watch how the blessings of the Lord will keep you happy and free.

Women’s History Month is a dedicated month to reflect on the often -overlooked contributions
of women to United States history. From Abigail Adams to Susan B. Anthony, Sojourner Truth to Rosa Parks, the timeline of women’s history milestones
stretches back to the founding of the United States.
The actual celebration of Women’s History Month grew out of a weeklong celebration of women’s contributions to culture, history and society organized by the school district of
Sonoma, California in 1978. Presentations were given at dozens of schools, hundreds of students participated in a “Real Woman” essay contest
and a parade was held in downtown Santa Rosa.
A few years later, the idea had caught on within communities, school districts and organizations across the country. In 1980, President Jimmy Carter issued the first presidential
proclamation declaring the week of March 8 as National Women’s History Week. The U.S. Congress followed suit the next year, passing a resolution establishing a national celebration. Six years later, the National Women’s History Project successfully petitioned
Congress to expand the event to the entire month of March.

How Will You Celebrate Resurrection Sunday?
This Resurrection Sunday
I’ll celebrate by going to
church and then spending
time with my family
over dinner.
AnnElise Condra
I will start by thanking Jesus for his sacrifice on Calvary. My family and I will go to Sunrise Service at 5 a.m. After that we usually eat
breakfast and some go back to bed. I usually grill
something and my wife and daughter prepare side dishes
and desserts.
Deacon Kendall Starke
I will spend Resurrection
Sunday worshipping my
Heavenly Father, spending
time with loved ones and
appreciating the
sacrifice that Jesus
made just for me.
