DirectionsFrom Glasgow or Edinburgh continue north on the M9 past Stirlingto the roundabout (junction 11) at the end of the motorway. Bridge of Allan is well situated for travel to both Edinburgh andGlasgow and all the other major towns of central Scotland. Thepivot of the motorway network is only 3 miles to the west with theM9 and M80 giving quick access to Edinburgh and Glasgowrespectively. The A9 is dual carriageway all the way to Perth. BothEdinburgh and Glasgow Airports are easily accessible. In addition,Bridge of Allan has a railway station with commuter services to bothEdinburgh and Glasgow.

The A84 from Stirling is a main route into the Highlandsleading to Callander and on to Loch Earn, Crianlarich, Fort Williamand Oban. The Trossachs and Loch Lomond to the west are alsowithin easy reach. Gleneagles Hotel with its leisure club and golfcourses is only 25 miles away.

DescriptionMinewood Cottage is a stone built house of considerablecharacter. It sits under pitched slate roofs with front facingdormers and the original part of the property dates from themid 1700s . The house was substantially extended in 1860with a two storey wing being added to the western elevation.The house is thought to be one of the oldest in the village andRobert Louis Stevenson is recorded as having lived in theproperty, with an original etching still preserved, dates 1861.

Internally the accommodation is spacious and well laid out.The double drawing room and large sitting room areparticularly fine reception rooms and are complemented by adining room and sun room. The accommodation hasundergone substantial renovation in the last five years and hasbeen upgraded from the ground up with new plumbing,electrical wiring, windows, heating and damp proofing. Muchof the first floor has been remodeled to create excellentfamily friendly accommodation and an extension has beenadded on the first floor which accommodates the masterbedroom suite.

Gardens and GroundsMinewood Cottage is set in magnificent south facing gardens backed with woodlands which extend to just under two acres.
