Minerva HR Suite: Organization Structure Definition
The PurposeDefine the organization attributes of the company such as Zone, Region, Locations, Departments, Designations etc. in the system
Usage Each user (Existing /New) in the system will
be mapped to the above attributes, as applicable to every user
Employee Transition will be tracked as history transaction based on attributes only
Need for differentiation in any module based on the attributes. For example: Employees of one department may follow a different leave eligibility as compared to people belonging to other departments

Groups and Access
A Group is a set of users in a system who do specific activities in the system Groups are defined based on collections of activities that shall be done by a particular user in the system Ex: Generating offer letter/Relieving letter, scheduling training, Adding new employee are the activities of
functional HR, so HR will be one Group in the system
Note– Activities are defined for whole organization and are uniform across organization.– Users belonging to particular group will be able perform activities belonging to that group only – Its very critical to identify here if there are any differences based on organization attributes as it has lot of impact on system
design.
