And now the monsters of Minecraft.

1

Creepers

A Creeper can easily be recognized by its tall vertical structure (roughly the size of a player), black, pixelated skin, and four legs. It is possibly the most dangerous enemy in the game, as it is not affected by sunlight (but it can despawn after a while), which makes it a constant threat as it silently roams the map, searching for a player to explode upon. It should be noted, however that most Creepers do de-spawn during the day, along with Spiders.

EnderManAn Enderman (plural Endermen) is a three block-high, one wide, humanoid, stick figure styled mob with long arms and legs, glowing purple eyes and a purple particle effect similar to that of a Portal. Endermen do not burn when caught up in sunlight, but they take damage from water and teleport away when coming in contact with it.

ZombieZombies are considered the least dangerous mob in the game because they are slow and can only use close range melee attacks. However, their tendency to attack in groups can make them more difficult to battle. Zombie can spawn in two slightly different forms. The most common form is mostly resembles like the player (Steve) and the other is the zombie villager form but only 5% of zombies spawned are this form.

Zombie Pig Man

4

They usually travel in groups of four and ten, and do not attack the player unless the player attacks them first. Zombie Pigmen are able to drown, but cannot be killed by lava. Because they are well-armed, Zombie Pigmen are highly dangerous to an unsuspecting player, also considering the Ghasts and horrible terrain of the Nether.

BlazeBlazes are mobs with a yellow skin and black eyes found in The Nether. They primarily spawn from Monster Spawners found mostly inside Nether Fortresses. Their bodies are made up of a head atop a central column of smoke, and three rotating sections. Each rotating section contains four floating yellow rods. Blazes can fly and shoot Fire Charges. They make a metallic breathing sound.

Wither Skeletons are dangerous hostile mobs that spawn in Nether fortresses. Wither skeletons are the Nether equivalent of skeletons. Wither skeletons are three blocks tall, use stone swords and are immune to fire. When attacked by a wither skeleton, the player is inflicted with the Wither effect for 10 seconds, which darkens the health bar and damage the player over time.

VillagersA Villager (also called a Testificate from a temporary name tag in Beta 1.9pre1) is a passive NPC (Non-Player Character) that spawns and moves about in NPC Villages. They spawn around the villages and inside the buildings. They spawn at their respective buildings corresponding to the role they have.
