experience... there's no way they'll be interested in a gift"
• "This conversation isn't going to go anywhere" (before conversation starts)
Questioning an unhelpful thought
• Am I 100% sure my thought is true? What is the actual worst-case scenario?
• What facts don't support my unhelpful thought?
• What would I say to a friend in a similar situation?
• What thinking errors am I making?• Is there a kinder, more constructive
alternative thought?
