Inspired by the greatest jam session of all time, this rocking musical builds around a warm December evening in 1956 that brought Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins together at Sun Records. They joked, they brawled, and for that one evening, they forget their troubled, complicated lives to do what they loved best: make music. In the process, they made rock ‘n’ roll history! Million Dollar Quartet, written by Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux, brings some of Canada’s best musical theatre artists to the Sagebrush stage. Playing the rock ‘n’ roll legends are Matt Cage as Elvis, Maxwell Theodore Lebeuf as Johnny Cash, Elliott Loran as Jerry Lee, and Edward Murphy as Carl Perkins. Julien Arnold (as Sam Phillips, the owner of Sun Records) narrates the story , while Meaghan Chenosky playing Dyanne, Elvis’ girlfriend at the time, causes shivers with her rendition of ‘Fever’. Locals Kris Ruston (as Fluke) on drums and Alexander Ward (Brother Jay) on bass round out the electrifying energy of the night.
