Crossed rifles placed higher on the disk that usual. This allows the
regimental number 174 to fit well below, and with Company L letter

For Headquarters 1st Battalion, 29th Infantry, that was stationed at Fort Benning in the 1930s.
Screw back with rifles removable. The designations are made as part of the background: 1

Cavalry, screw-back cap insignia, 1901-1905. Smaller size came into
use in 1905. The right sword handle has verdigris on it. $25.
Rare 1899-1905 dress cap insignia for electrician sergeant. Screw-post back that
was replaced in1905 by a smaller design. $150.
Group of 16 domed field artillery disks. In the group, L to R, starting on
top row: Slight dome with unusual cannons which are at a steeper angle.
Dome has embossed ring around the lower edge. Mint condition disk.
The red enameled edge is made as part of the silver dome. Row 2:
Airborne wings below. Silver with 25 above. Silver with 98 above.
Brass with 199 above. Row 3: 360 below. 675 below. Silver with 502
above and HQ below. 162 in small numbers above and marked N S
Meyer. Last row: German made, A above and 85 below. German made,
SV above and 44n below. Made in Germany slight dome with 517 above
that is struck as a single unit. A above and 700 below. $250 for the group,
which averages $15.60 each.
Rare Army Transport Service enlisted cap ribbons (tallies) used
1904-1920s. One for U.S.A.T. EGBERT and the other for U.S.A.T.
HANCOCK, where U.S.A.T. stands for U.S. Army Transport. $500
for the two rarely seen insignia.
Rare dress cap insignia for Corps of Engineers field musician (company
trumpeter). Screw-back insignia used from 1896 to 1905. Replace by straight
trumpet in 1905. $200.
Jewish chaplain’s stole. Still has the DSA tag
showing the stock number and nomenclature
“Scarf, Chaplain Jewish Faith.” Two sections near the edge have marks showing
rust where it was next to metal. The most noticeable is shown to the left of the
national eagle and the second is not as large in another location. $75.

Two different made in Korea Combat
Artillery badges worn by forward
observer worn during the Korean War.
Both have the entire design struck from a
single piece of metal and the red
rectangle painted. One is approximately ¼ inch longer than a standard CIB. The easiest way to tell the
difference is by examining the lower center of the wreath. $65 each or $120 for the two.
Clean copy of Chevrons, published by the Smithsonian
Intuition in 1983. Includes photos and tables showing all U.S.
Army chevrons authorized until the book was published.
Inscribed by the author in the front but otherwise in good
condition, save for a few tears on the top and bottom of the
dust jacket. $100.
Lot of 10 mint tabs for pathfinders, LLRP, and old Border
Patrol from when Germany was divided. $110 for the lot of 10.
New York Naval Militia embroidered cap insignia from 1890s for chief petty officer in

detail). Made when the 2d Armored Division came to West
