HEARD…he believes he has thetalent to exercise his vocal chords, atany given moment, and so he contin-ues to make a fool of himself - onstage!
His singing is very average and heprojects himself in an unprofession-al manner.
Unfortunately, people are forcedto hear him sing.

The groupMirage -probably
the most popu-lar outfit inthe local night-club scene -will be head-ing towardsAustralia nextmonth(October, 2013).
They arescheduled togive three per-formances,Down Under -two in Sydneyand one inMelbourne.
Donald,Melantha,Benjy andShafi have ahuge followingin Australia, and they areseen in thatpart of theworld on a reg-ular basis.
The other two, who make up this extremely tal-ented and versatile outfit, are female vocalist,
Samantha, and Manod. The band performs three nights a week - on
Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays - at the GaladariHotel's Margarita Blue.

What a pity! A Tom Jones concert, in Colombo, doesn'tseem a possibility - at least, not this year, they say.Granted, the cost factor is enormous but, then, the
Welshman would be worth every penny wepay.
We haven't had a good act come this wayin ages - I mean stars who really sing andperform LIVE.
Cliff Richard, in February, 2007, was aboutthe best - courtesy of Gold FM.
We also had Isla and Al Grant - again cour-tesy of Gold FM.
Australia's GotTalent winner,Andrew De Silva, was told that he wasgoing to be theopening act for aTom Jones concert,
in October, this year(2013).
Although the TomJones scene is unlikely tobecome a reality, this year, the good news is thatAndrew, and his famousfather, Conrad de Silva, will be in town this month
(September, 2013), for a series of performances.According to reports coming our way, they are due to
arrive on Thursday, September 26th, and will be seen inaction at a concert, on the beach, in Negombo, also in Galleand, of course, in Colombo.
Andrew hit the big scene when he won the prestigiousAustralia's Got Talent contest - held in Australia, on the linesof American Idol.
Conrad gained fame, performing with the Spitfires. He was in Colombo, a couple of months ago, and I caught
his act at the Margarita Blue.Conrad is still a wonderful performer and he mesmerized
the audience, that particular evening, with some great TomJones material.
So, although we are not having Tom Jones, the father andson combination can generate a lot of excitement for musiclovers here.

Miley Cyrus on VMA Backlash: "IDon't Pay Attention to the egative"M
iley Cyrus' provocative per-
formance at the MTV Video
Music Awards caused quite
a controversy--and that's exactly
what the pop star intended to hap-
pen.
In an interview, just three days
after the August 25th show, the 20-
year-old opened up about her
"Blurred Lines" duet with Robin
Thicke.
"Me and Robin, the whole time
said, 'You know we're about to
make history right now,'" Cyrus
recalled. "What's amazing is I think
now, we're three days later, and
people are still talking about it."
The performance made head-
lines for days, which surprised the
"We Can't Stop" hit maker. "They're
over thinking it. You're thinking
about it more than I thought about
it when I did it," Cyrus argued.
"Like, I didn't even think about it
'cause that's just me."
Cyrus then referenced two pop
icons--Madonna and Britney
Spears--whose own VMA perform-
ances have made pop culture his-
tory.
"I don't pay attention to the neg-
ative because I've seen this play
out so many times," said Cyrus,
whose twerking appeared to horrify
attendees, One Direction and
Drake.
"How many times have we seen
this play out in pop music?
Madonna's done it. Britney's done
it. Every VMA performance, that's
what you're looking for; you're
wanting to make history." Miley Cyrus
