Overview: Accessing Reports• To access reports, a user must be logged into MSIX as a registered, authorized
user (i.e. a State Data Administrator or State User Administrator)• From the homepage, select ‘Reports’ link in the left-hand navigation panel • All reports accessible to the user are displayed on the left-hand navigation
panel of the Reports Homepage

Overview: General Reporting FeaturesSorting• Users can change the order of the reported data by clicking on a field name
to designate that as the ordering factor. Double-clicking the field name (column heading) will sort the data in reverse-chronological or alphabetical order.
• To add additional levels of sorting, select the blank space to the right of a field name. The order of sorting proceeds according to the order in which the fields are selected.
Filtering• Most reports have filtering capabilities which allow users to refine the data by
various components, either by drop-down menus, user filter forms, or date range sliding scales.
Save/Toggle/Refresh/Print • From each report you have the ability to save the data to an Excel
spreadsheet and refresh the data to clear the previously-placed filters.• Some reports have the added functionality of toggling the report ( ) to
remove the right-hand side of the chart (if applicable) and printing the report ( ) directly from the page.

Overview: General Reporting FeaturesTool Bar• The tool bar allows you to close the report tab or to hide the left-hand
navigation panel for a larger report view
Exiting Reports• A user may exit a report by the following ways:
– Return to MSIX link– Logout link– Tool Bar > Close Report Tab
Note: Reports are based on information as of midnight the previous business day.

User Administrator ReportsAccount List Report• This report maintains records for all user accounts in the User Administrator’s state in
the MSIX system• The report also provides the total number of users in your state in the top left corner• Each record in the report contains the following data fields for a user:
Additional Report Views: The right side panel of the Account List report provides additional ways to view report information
• User Status Chart – this pie chart graphically depicts the status data contained in the datagrid on the left side panel broken down by account status type
• User Roles Chart – this pie chart graphically depicts the user role data contained in the datagrid on the left side panel broken down by role type
• User Details Tab – this tab provides more detailed information for whichever user is selected from the datagrid and their account details
– This tab can also be accessed by clicking on a user in the datagrid

User Administrator ReportsFiltering Account List Report:
– Date Range Sliding Scales: adjust the information displayed in the report according to data contained on account creation date, last date of login, account activation date, and account expiration date
– Drop-down Menu: The user can filter the data by the User Role and Account Status
– User Filter Form: allows users to enter multiple filter parameters for the report
NOTE: In order to filter the report on multiple fields, the user must use the User Filter Form. The sliding scales and drop-down menus cannot be used together.

Other Notes Regarding Student Info Reports: • State Data Administrators have access to national-level data and their own
state data only. • State Data Administrators can drill down to the student-level data by double-
clicking a data row in the report. From here, the user can access the State Student ID, MSIX ID and Last Name of the students in the selected category and export the report to excel to save.
