The party was a great success and a very enjoyable day out for all those that were able to attend. Nola Milverton celebrated her 10 years of service anniversary with Midway on the 8 th of February 2015. Nola commenced her career with Midway as a Support Worker. Nola took up a Team Leader position in the latter part of her first year of service, but also maintained some hours as a Support Worker. The role as Team Leader gradually became full time and was re-titled Coordinator on the appointment of our current CEO Patrick Dudley. Congratulations Nola and thank you for your care, dedication and commitment to Midway. The building of the new Len Howard house has come to completion and the residents have moved in. With the help from the residents and staff the move went smoothly and took place on the last Friday of January. We have some current members of the Midway family relocated to the new house and one new family member. Everyone has settled in well. The house looks amazing and has been furnished with all new furniture. There are two garden beds in the backyard for a future vegetable garden and a small shed to be delivered later this month to house all the garden supplies. Well done to all the hard work from those involved to make this a smooth transition for the new house mates! The Respite Accommodation has also moved recently. Those that utilise the respite facilities will now be accommodated in the Esprit house in Meadow Springs. Right before Christmas Aden, Tim and I went to Queensland with Eileen, Prakash and Patrick. We had so many new and amazing adventures. We visited Sea World and we were splashed by the dolphins, this was one of our favourite parts of the day. We had a great day out at Movie World , we had pictures taken with Bat woman and saw the Batmobile. Aden, Eileen and Prakash went on lots of rides and we laughed when we heard Eileen screaming so loud on one of the scary rides. Aden couldn’t stop smiling, he loves fast scary rides. While we were at Movie World we went to a special horse show called the “Outback Spectacular”, we wore cowboy hats and saw some beautiful horses. Visiting the Australia Zoo was another great trip, it was really fun. There were lots of crocodiles and kangaroos and Aden even got to ride on a camel, and we all really enjoyed the tiger show. One of the coolest things we did was have a ride on the Aqua Duck. It was a car that drove on the road and then became a ferry. I thought it was great and I let everyone around us know how cool it was. Overall we all had a great time and saw lots of wonderful things in Surfers Paradise. PAGE 2

On Monday the 15th December I went on a Christmas lights cruise with the Fishers with disabilities, it was a special nightand we saw many beautiful lights on the houses in the canals. Towards the end of the night it got quite cold but it was stilla great night and I really enjoyed it.

A big thank you to the Mandurah Offshore Fishing club and Michelle Lyall for arranging the evening.

This year I celebrated my birthday with an amazing ride on The Jet Boat in Fremantle.Dave and I had a great time.  The Jet goes really fast and makes sharp turns which gets you REALLY wet.  I was laughingthe whole time.  You have to hold on tight and wear special sunglasses because the sea water gets in your eyes. There was a little boy on the ride that was scared and I kept smiling and laughing to show it was Ok.  I think he liked mea lot.Dave liked going fast but he didn’t like getting salt water in his mouth.  After the exciting boat ride we had fish and chipsat Ciccerellos by the marina.  I really enjoyed it.  It was a great birthday.

Elizabeth and I went to the Burswood Casino to see Les Miserables. We parked the car in the car park, and walked througha tunnel to the casino to find somewhere to have our dinner. We took the escalator to the big casino area and we walkedthrough the casino and saw all the game machines, and lots of people playing on them. We then found a steak house tohave our meal and waited for a table. We looked through the menus and chose a meal and drink. I chose steak and chips,Elizabeth chose the same. After the meal we went to find the theatre and were escorted to our seats.

Our seats were only a few rows from the front. The show was “amazing”, lots of singing, loudnoises and dancing. At half time we went and had a quick drink, then we finished watching the

rest of the show. When the show finished everyone stood up and gave a massive round ofapplause. After the show we drove Elizabeth home and went back to my house.
