PRINCIPALS MESSAGE A very big thanks to all the parents and volunteers who were able to come and assist with the P&C Working Bee yesterday. We appreciate your support and with the help of everyone, many projects were able to be achieved. Quota Donaon Last week, I was fortunate to receive a donaon of $2950 from Parkes Quota for the purchase of a RedCat Hearing System. Parkes Quota have been very generous in making this donaon which assists all students in the classroom to hear beer, and supports teachers in their voice health as well. We now have most of all the learning spaces within the school with a hearing system available to the students and staff. If students can hear well, we know they have an increased chance of learning. Our thanks go to Quota and I encourage our community to connue to support their fundraising efforts which ulmately are returned to benefit the Parkes community. Primary Principals Council Meeng Also at the end of last week, I travelled to Queanbeyan with the Orange/Lachlan Primary Principals Council to aend the Term 1 Council meeng. At this meeng we visited two large schools, one with an 85% enrolment from other cultures, including 25% Aboriginal. It was very interesng to see the programs they have in place to support their students and get some ideas to borrow. Following the school visits, we met at Quenbeyan District Office to hear the latest informaon from the many areas of the Department. This is always useful as it allows us to know where the Department is planning to head and provide them with feedback from a range of principals.
