About MiddlesbroughMiddlesbrough is a vibrant university town right in the middle of Teesside and the wider Tees Valley. It's at the heart of everything with an exciting programme of live music, comedy, theatre and exhibitions and an emerging craft ale and foodie scene.

Middlesbrough Town Hall and Middlesbrough Theatre boast a rich programme of comedy, music, drama and dance. Enjoy an art exhibition launch event at Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (mima). Discover your new favourite band in one of Middlesbrough’s surprising venues, combined with dancing the night away.

Safe HavenMiddlesbrough runs the innovative Safe Haven scheme to care for people who may be intoxicated or vulnerable. It is a place of safety for if you’ve lost your friends or your mobile phone and need some assistance. Find Safe Haven at 48 Albert Road, Middlesbrough TS1 1QD T: 01642 241769between the hours of 11pm and 5am on Friday and Saturday evenings. The Safe Haven also operates at other busy times such as Sundays prior to Bank Holidays, during the Christmas and New Year period, and Teesside University Freshers Week.

Middlesbrough Town HallMiddlesbrough Town Hall is one of the region's leading performance spaces. Few venues can match the magni�cence of the main concert hall. The Grade II* listed Town Hall hosts a wide-ranging arts and entertainment programme - from classical music to pop and rock, top name comedy and children’s theatre.

It is an exciting time at the Town Hall. A multi-million pound investment programme by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and Middlesbrough Council is set to begin. Performances and activities will move to other Middlesbrough venues from spring 2016 while works are carried out.

Middlesbrough TheatreMiddlesbrough Theatre - once known as the Little Theatre - has grown in recent years o�ering a wide choice of live theatre, from musicals to drama, stunning ballet, concerts and comedy shows.

Middlesbrough Theatre has an intimacy that belies its 484 seat capacity. Enjoy free parking or take an easy 8 minute taxi ride from Middlesbrough town centre.

If the renowned but calorie-laden local dish the ‘parmo’ does not appeal, there are plenty of other options to choose from when eating out in Middlesbrough.

For chic, upmarket dining, try the contemporary Brasserie Hudson Quay, which has wonderful views of Middlesbrough Dock and the Transporter Bridge.
