In the Middle Ages society was

divided into three groups or classes:Kings

The decadence of the cities caused the

disappearance of trade and artisans and the

decrease of cultural activities.From the x

century Roman monasteries began to be done

all around Europe thanks to the pilgrimage

routes like the Camino de Santiago.

groups:

The Visigoths:The Visigoths were a Germanic

people which in the V Century installed

themselves in Hispania and founded a kingdom

with capital in Toledo.

The Muslims:In 711 the Muslims arrived at the

Peninsula.They came from the North of Africa

and conquered almost all its territories which

they called al-Ándalus.

The expasion of the Christian peoples: When the

Muslims conquered the Peninsula many

Christians sheltered themselves in the North of

Spain and founded small kingdoms.

Camino de SantiagoAt the beginning of the IX centuri,a news

spreadall over Europe .It said that in Galicia

had been found the tomb of the apostle

Santiago.
