BiologyActivity: Design A Virus!

Background: We have learned that viruses are non-living particles that invade living cells in order to reproduce. Although viruses are similar in structure, they vary widely in size and shape, and can infect the host cells in many different ways. Assignment: Your challenge is to create a virus based on what you have learned. You may use the illustrations on pages 526-27, and 530 to help you create your original 3-dimesional creation; or you may use your electronic device to research other known viruses and their structure. If you feel up to the challenge, you can use the drawings and research to create your own original virus (but it must have all the necessary components). *You may bullet point identification and other information on your final product – please make sure that all spelling is error-free!
