• Friday, March 8th at the Clermont Waterfront Park.• Judging begins at 6:00 pm. Awards will be presented at 8:45 pm.• Contest is limited to the first 25 paid entries.• $60 entry fee for all categories except Chef’s Showdown ($80).• Categories:

OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

• Chili must be homemade – no cans or mixes.• Chili must be prepared in advance.• Chili must be prepared for public taste testers. An amount of 8 gallons is

recommended, however additional chili donations are appreciated. Teams will be provided with tasting cups, spoons, napkins, a ladle and a container for judging.

• Sterno burners must be used and all burners must be provided by participants. There is limited electricity on site. There will be a designated area for cookers due to electricity limitations.

• Team vehicles must be unloaded and off site by 3:00 pm.• Mandatory set-up must be completed by 4:30 pm.

5:30 pm Chili Cook-Off begins

6:00 pm Chili submission for judging dropped off at ticket table

7:00 – 8:00 pm Best Table Presentation judging

8:30 pm People’s Choice ballot boxes collected for judging

8:45 – 9:00 pm Awards and Announcements

Set-Up & Departure Details  You may arrive on-site as early as 10:00 am to set up.  The event will take place in the Pavilion, the outdoor space attached to the Highlander Building.  Please utilize 3rd Street to get as close as possible to unload your equipment (see map).  Your station will be clearly marked with your team name and a welcome packet.  All vehicles must be unloaded and off-site by 3:00 pm, with set-up completed by 4:30 pm.  Runners will be available throughout the event to provide you with more supplies, if needed.  Due to Pig on the Pond Community Event regulations, vehicles being utilized for

unloading and loading can only be parked next to the Highlander Building’s front patio.

  Two Gator motorized carts will be provided to be shared between all contestants that need assistance with departure.

Spaces are 10’X10’ and you will be provided 2-8’ tables and 2 chairs.
